Guinea · Birimian Greenstone Belt · Prospect-Generator Model

West AfricanGold Exploration

The Kanaga Group is a US-based exploration company assembling a position on Guinea's Birimian greenstone belt — the same geological package that hosts Siguiri, Kouroussa, Lefa and the Ashanti trend. Guinea's segment of the belt remains one of the least consolidated in West Africa. We identify open ground, validate it with systematic fieldwork and independent laboratory assays, and let the data determine the path forward.

About

The Kanaga Group

Kanaga Group Inc. is a Delaware C-Corporation focused on gold exploration in the Republic of Guinea. We operate on a simple principle: acquire early, validate cheaply, and keep every path open — advancement, joint venture, or transaction with an established operator. That decision gets made on data, not ambition.

Our Guinean operating structure is being established through formal local counsel to full governance standard — no informal arrangements, no nominee structures. Specialist work is contracted to specialists and held to written scope.

OUR APPROACH

The Prospect Generator Model

Most exploration failures are capital failures: too much money spent too early on unproven ground. The prospect-generator model inverts that. Ground in underexplored segments of the Birimian still changes hands at permit-transfer cost rather than ounce-in-the-ground value. The opportunity is entering before that reprices. Small, staged programs test ground systematically; capital is committed only as evidence justifies it.

01

Screen

Desktop and cadastre review of open ground using USGS, BRGM and DNGM datasets — focusing field spend before boots hit the ground.

02

Validate

Tightly scoped field reconnaissance by our contracted Guinean geological team, with systematic sampling and analysis at an accredited international laboratory for independent results.

03

Decide

Every stage ends at a formal proceed / hold / stop gate. Decisions follow evidence not schedules, and not sunk costs.

04

Local Participation From Day One

A Guinean local-content partner is embedded in the operating structure from the start, and our field program is executed by licensed Guinean professionals. Durable operations in Guinea are built with local stakeholders, not around them.

Execution to Date

Built Before It Was Announced

US corporate foundation.

Delaware C-Corporation formed; Guinean operating structure being established through formal local counsel.

In-country geological team.

A contracted Guinean geological firm — ISMG-Boké-trained geologists with major-company field experience — engaged on a fee-for-service basis under executed bilingual agreements.

Local-content partner.

A Guinean national partner committed to the operating structure, satisfying local participation from day one.

Independent assay pathway.

Laboratory analysis routed to an accredited international laboratory, ensuring results are independent of any in-country interest.

Target screening under way.

Cadastre and desktop review of open ground using USGS, BRGM and DNGM data.

Network from Conakry to Washington.

In-country relationships spanning licensed gold buyers, exporters and active corridor operators, with formal engagement initiated at the ministry level — and stateside relationships across the US Chamber of Commerce's US-Africa Business Center.

Why Guinea

The Right Belt, Underexplored

Guinea, West Africa

Birimian Greenstone Belt

Guinea sits on the same Birimian formation that hosts many of West Africa's major gold operations. At current gold prices, it is one of the few belts where discovery-stage ground still trades at a discount to its analogues in Ghana, Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire.

Active Mining Jurisdiction

Guinea hosts producing operations run by global majors. Regulatory precedent, technical infrastructure, and a trained professional workforce are already in place.

Modernized Mining Code

Guinea's mining framework has been modernized and the government actively encourages responsible foreign participation. Our staged, compliance-first approach is designed to align with national priorities.

Least Consolidated Segment

Despite the belt's productivity, Guinea's portion remains one of the least consolidated in West Africa. Significant open ground remains — the window that a disciplined early entrant is built to use.

Community as Infrastructure

Political risk in West Africa is real. Our answer is structural: communities that hold an economic stake in the operation become the most powerful continuity mechanism available. This is not philanthropy — it is risk management.

Artisanal Formalization Upside

Guinea has a large artisanal mining sector. Our compliance-first purchasing facility formalizes supply, improves miner pricing, builds chain-of-custody, and generates early cash yield while the industrial mine is developed.

WORK PROGRAM

Staged, Gated, Evidence-Driven

Stage 1Months 1–6

Target Selection

Zone-selection study, administrative dossier, and reconnaissance authorization. Ends with a documented zone recommendation, cadastre evidence, and a confirmed legal access pathway.

Stage 2Months 6–18

Field Reconnaissance

A 30-day field program led by senior Guinean geologists with mine-department support: systematic collection of approximately 60 field samples under a signed fixed-price contract, with full sample register and chain of custody.

Stage 3Months 18–30

Assay & Decision

Analysis at an accredited international laboratory with QA/QC, followed by interpretation and a formal proceed / hold / stop decision package.

PHASE 1Post Round 1

Beyond Phase 1

A validated, assay-supported target ranking opens multiple paths — follow-up exploration, joint venture, or transaction with an established operator. That decision is made when the data exists to make it, not before.
